Week 4 Scores & Highlights

AFFC

Shockers (42) vs. Warriors (41)

 

The Warriors suffered their first loss of the season to the Shockers on the last play of overtime in a UMPR classic game. With the game tied 34-34, the Warriors would score a touchdown and convert a one-point conversion to hold a 7 point lead, but a Shockers touchdown and two point conversion by Mike C. would sealed the victory.  The Shockers Mike C. would pace the team with four touchdown receptions. Shockers Quarterback Rodney C. added two touchdown runs and Reggie B. converted 2 extra points. Ed B. and Ian .J for the Warriors each had two touchdown receptions in the game. With the win, the shockers capture sole possession of first place in the AFFC and remain undefeated in their inaugural season.

Soul (12) vs. Chargers (32)

 

With two defensive touchdowns, the Chargers evened their record to 2-2 with a 32-12 defeat of the Soul. Rookie receivers CJ M. and Marcus S. had touchdown receptions in the first half to to help the Chargers take a 19-0 first half advantage. In the second half, Granford J. and Smiley helped the Soul get on the scoreboard. Chargers QB Darren threw three touchdown passes and returned an interception for a touchdown in the victory.

 Machine (25) vs. Dragons (0)

 

The Green Machine captured their second win of the season as the Dragons surrender a forfeit. With assistance from UMPR veterans Chuck D., Sharif, and Laura L, the Dragons defeated the Green Machine in a 39-25 scrimmage .  Green Machine QB Vince M. would throw four touchdown passes, two to Eric H. and one to Jim. Dragons’ rookie Jeremy T. would score his first UMPR touchdown and veteran Fred P. added two extra points.

Takeover (20) vs. Ravens (28)

 

The Ravens defense held strong to defeat hostile Takeover 28-20. After a Ron V.(Ravens) touchdown scramble and Justin H.(Hostile) touchdown catch, females players from both teams would take command of the game. Brittany W. would help the Ravens take the lead with a 50 yard touchdown pass to Imowo U.  and Hostile Takeover’s Taz would connect with Terez S. for a score. A missed Ravens extra point would give Hostile takeover a 14-13 halftime lead. In the second half, both teams had several attempts in the red-zone but would fail to score. With less than 5 minutes in the game, Brittany W. would throw her second touchdown of game to help the ravens regain the lead. Rasheen G. would secure the game with a late interception that  set up a Patrick E. touchdown.

NFFC

Team America (6) vs. Bar (42)

 

The Bar took sole possession of first place in the NFFC and remain undefeated with a 42-6 victory over Team America . The Bar scored on the first play of the game when Sean C. intercepted a Dave J. pass for a touchdown. Chuck D. would throw five touchdowns passes to Sean C., Brian C., Bryan P., Rafee C. and Marcus J. for the Bar. Johah H. had an  interception as the Team America would struggle offensively. Chris scored the only touchdown for Team America.

F&F (6) vs. Wolverines (0)

F&F secured their first victory of the season with a forfeit victory over the Wolverines. F&F is now 1-3 on the season

  


Stallions (14) vs. Saints (13)

The Saints suffered their first loss of the season in a very competitive game with the Stallions. Both teams were plagued by dropped passes as the Stallions scored all their points in the first half when Clarence R. connected with Brett and Devon C. for scores. The Saints only score in the first half was a Mark C. strike to Bo S. in the endzone. Trailing 14-7 in the second half, the Saints would score to cut the lead to 14-13 but missed a two point attempt left one point short. With the victory, the Stallions move to second place over the Saints in the NFFC standings.

SBD (28) vs. Dolphins (26)

SBD bounced back from their week 3 defeat to the Stallions and moved to 2-2 for the season with a 28-26 defeat of the Dolphins. SBD would jump out to 14-12 first half lead on two Dom R. touchdown passes. Scott M. for the Dolphins would answer with a touchdown pass and run. In the second half, the Dolphins allowed two more SBD touchdowns. Craig, Matt, Nick, and Greg G. scored for SBD. Colin, Sheed, and Eric scored for the Dolphins in the losing effort. The teams combined for three 2 point conversions.
