Niners (33) vs. Warriors (6)
Niners move to second place in the UMPR standings as the Warriors remain winless.


The Niners returned from a bye week and improved upon their franchise best start with a convincing 33-6 defeat of the Warriors. After exchanging interceptions with the Warriors on their first series and being the stoped on fourth down on their second, the Niners exploded for thirty three straight points. Niners QB Scott M. connected  with Nate R. for two of his three touchdowns in the first half to give the Niners a 13-0 halftime lead. The Warriors offense struggled throughout most of the game, commiting turnovers and being forced to punt on their possessions. In the second half, the Niners infusion of new players displayed their talent. Niners' rookies Bryan H. (#13 "Rabbit) , Casey "Printzess", and Nate R. fueled the offense. They all scored touchdowns in the second half. Niners veterans DJ and Bryan H. added extra points. The Warriors found the endzone late when Lashanne L. caught a touchdown. Warriors role players Brandt W., Chris Mc and Chris N. also contributed to the Warriors in the losing effort.

Dragons (18) vs. The Bar (34)
Bar trailed the Dragons early but bounced back to remain undefeated. 

The Dragons looked to head into the UMPR History books with a defeat of the undefeated Bar, but missed opportunities and a tough Bar defense proved too much as the Bar wins 32-18. From the onset, the bar proved why they are the UMPR's flagship franchise. With QB Greg K. back at the QB spot, the Bar scored on their first drive when Marcus J. found the endzone. The Dragons QB Mark C. was prepared to battle as he answered back with a scoring strike to Holmes to even the score at 6-6. On the Bar's second posession, Mark intercepted a pass and threw the go ahead score to Jared "Double Me" to put the Dragons ahead 12-6. The Bar roared back on their next two chances when  Sean Dhue and Sean "Dono" found the endzone to give the bar a 18-12 Half time lead. In the second half, the Bar took advantage of a Dragons' punt and increased their lead to 14 on a Eric touchdown reception. Halfway through the second half, the Dragons defense toughned up  and intercepted the ball from the Bar. The Dragons converted the turnover into points to cut the the lead to six points but an explosive touchdown run by Greg K. put the game out of reach. Bar ladies Laura L., Stephanie R., Tyla J., and Ally all had receptions in the winning effort. With the loss the Dragons fall below .500. Dragons ladies Stacy H. and "Scream Machine" contributed in a losing effort.

SBD (27) vs. Team America (27)
Team America rallies from 14 point deficit to force a tie with SBD.

Game three of the day lived up to expectations as SBD and Team America battled for 20 minutes to a 27-27 tie. Team America jumped out to a 7-0 lead when QB Bob D. found Matt F. in the endzone and Dustin for the extra point. SBD would commit a turnover on their first series, but took a 8-6 lead when JD scored a touchdown and a two point conversion. Both teams would answer as the game's two standout players emerged. Team America's Sean C. would score his first of three touchdowns to regain the lead and JD aka "JDiesel" scored his second of three touchdowns on an impressive 50 yard score  to send SBD into the half with a 14-13 lead. SBD's QB Dom R. and Chris C. kept their teams focused in the second half. Dom R. found JD on the first series of the half and also threw a strike to Shareef K. to give a comfortable 27-13 lead SBD but team America would storm back. team America stopped SBD on its next two drives and Sean C. would score two touchdowns and the two point conversion to tie the game at 27. SBD would give up the ball late as Team America a late shot into the endzone as regulation. SBD veterans Kira D. and Jen M. helped SBD while Rookies Grace and Danielle help team America maintain their scoring drives.

Heat (20) vs. Ravens (12)
Heat captures their first franchise win.

New franchises the Ravens and Heat were each seeking their first UMPR win. On the first series of the game, the Ravens QB Ron V. slashed through the Heat defenders on a 50 yard touchdown run. The Heat would answer back on their first two drives as Heat QB Dan R. would find R. Cheeseboro for two touchdowns  and a 14-6 lead. Raven's Sheen G. stepped in at QB and broke out for a 35 yard touch down run to cut the lead to two point, but the Heat would answer when Bill R. found the endzone late in the first half. in the second half, both teams were unable to find the redzone as turnovers and missed opportunites plagued both teams. The Heat won 20-12. India for Ravens and the Heat's Lauren D. helped pace their teams offenses.

Stallions (24) vs. F&F (18)   "The Swag Bowl"(12)
Stallions score on last play in regulation to defeat F&F 24-16.


In perhaps the most exciting game of the season, the stallions scored three straight second half touchdowns to defeat F&F 24-18. In the first half, the defense for both teams came ready to play.The stallions forced F&F to punt on two of their three drives while F&F kept the pressure on Stallions QB Clarence R. with rushing pressure. Clarence R. took the Stallions to the early advantage when he ripped off a 60 yard run to give his team the 6-0 lead. David J. would lead F&F to tie the score when he connected with "Benzo" before the end of half. The second half saw the emergence of each team's offense. F&F scored on their first two oppportunites when David J. threw toucdowns to Adam and Emanuel on sustained drives. Down 18-6, the Stallions would storm back. Clarence C. found Captain Devon C. and Andre J. late to tie the score at 18. A crucial stop on fourth down by the stallions defense gave their offense one last chance. On third down with no time on the clock, Eric "T.O" found a spot in the corner of the endzone and sealed the game for the Stallions.
