September 18th - Week 2

Stallions (13) vs. Saints (28)

The Saints keep the new their franchise undefeated with a victory over former two-time champion. QB Mark C. has is evolved into a elite starting UMPR QB while Stallions QB Clarence C. is leading a revamped offensive lineup. The teams exchanged TDs on their first series to lock the game at 7-7. The Saints took a lead into half time when Mack C. connected with his favorite target Jared B. In the second half The Saints drove ahead for a two score lead when Mike P. found the endzone. The Stallions scored on their last possession with a Richard B. touchdown. Sean D. for the Saints and Christopher "Twitter" G. had touchdowns for their teams.

Team America (7) vs. Bar (20)

The Bar captured their second win in a row by defeating Team America 20-7. Although their scoring is down, the Bar still have one of the most potent offenses in the league. With a few former Bar players and rookie QB, Team America is trying to measure themselves against the UMPR Elite. The Bar scored on their first two possession when Chuck D. found veterans Colin S. and Sean Do. for touchdowns. After a 14-0 halftime deficit, The teams exchanged scores in the second half. Two former Bar female teammates carried their teams. Laura "Chica" L threw her second TD pass in as many weeks and Alli scored Team America's only TD.

Patriots (30) vs. Ex-Presidents (6)



The Patriots won the first game of their doubleheader with a 30-6 defeat of the Ex-Presidents. Dave J. threw touchdowns to three different receivers for the Patriot offense.Rafee C., Antoine M., and Kyle P. all had touchdown catches. The Ex-Presidents scored on their first possession when Mike found the endzone. After that, their surrendered threw turnovers to the Patriots. The Dawhite and Granfort had interceptions for the Presidents but the offense was shutout in the second half. The Patriots converted 3 two-point conversions. 

Dragons (6) vs. SBD (35)

The Dragons faced SBD in the first game of their back-to-back double header. In game that would test the Dragons new offense, SBD was able to convert on costly mistakes by for a 35-6 defeat. Two of the Dragons' initial three drives result in interceptions that setup SBD scores. The first score was a career best 50 yard catch & run by Nick "Big Sauce" on a missed flag. Scores by Kira A. and Matt W gave SBD the 21-0 halftime lead. Another Dragon interception setup a Don R. touchdown run. The Dragons jumped on the scoreboard late in the game with a Chuck touchdown reception. Eric and Chris from the SBD contributed had a touch and two extra points respectively.

 

F&F (34) vs. Green Machine (18)

F&F bounced back from a tie in the week 1 and secured their first win of the season with a 34-17 defeat of the Green Machine. F&F's defense scored first when the Green Machine was caught in the endzone for a safety. The Green machine held a 12-10 lead but turnovers allowed F&F to stay in the game. Joshua J. punched in two touchdown runs and threw touchdowns to Shadeed, Brandon J. and Phil. After a being shutout in week one, the Green Machine was able to generate offense. Rookie QB Jim threw three touchdown passes, included their first female franchise score by Monica. Eric and Jesse also score for the Green Machine. 

 

Team America (33) vs. Dragons (19)

In the second of their back-to-back games, The Dragons erased a 12 point halftime deficit but fell to Team America 33-19. The teams exchange touchdowns early as Bryan M and Stacey M. score for each of their teams. On the  next series Bob D. returned an interception for a score. Team America QB Alex P. threw one of his touchdown passes to put Team America up at halftime. In the second half, the Dragons would roar back. Fueled of two touchdown passes by QB Stacey M.,  the Dragons grabbed a 19-18 lead. Team America veteran Sean C. sealed the game on a 30 yard touchdown dash and Bob D. came in at QB to throw a late TD pass. Stacy from the Dragons threw a rare female TD pass for the Dragons. Fred S. and Justin scored for the Dragons.

Ravens (26) vs. Ex-Presidents (12) 

The Ravens have started the Fall with their first franchise wins and winning streak as they defeated the Ex-Presidents 26-12. Veteran Qb Scott M. is now in firm command of the Ravens offense. He threw four touchdown passes to threw different receivers to pace the Ravens. The Ex-Presidents QB Rob is still finding his way as a starter. He threw touchdown passes in each half of the game. With a 13-5 halftime lead, the Ravens never allowed the Presidents to tie the game. Nate R. had two touchdown receptions to lead the Ravens. Kevin F. and Raheem added scores for the Dragons. Rookie of the year Bryan H. and rookie Granfort helped fuel the Ex-Presidents.

Patriots (32) vs. Green Machine (6)

In the last game of the day, the Patriots had an explosive day on defense as they defeated the Green Machine in 32-6. Each team played a game earlier in the day, but the rosters of both teams were deep.  After a Dave J. touchdown pass to Justin H. to start the scoring, the Patriots defense would force five interceptions. Captain Greg M. returned the first interception for a score and Antonie P. added a touchdown catch to secure a 20-0 halftime lead. Ex F&F star Ben J. had 3 sacks and Rafee C. grabbed four interceptions. Backup QB Dan "Franchise" R. stepped in the second half and threw two touchdowns to returning Patriot TJ.
